The Palms Update – December 15th, 2015

Dear Friends,

We are rapidly approaching our opening date in January! As you can see, the course is a bee hive of activity! Between our construction crew, our maintenance crew, and our specialty landscape detail crew we probably have upwards of 25 workers on the course on a daily basis. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the quality of our fairways and greens. I would put them up against any of our top courses! The rough is growing in nicely as well and over the years to come as the celebration grass takes over, you won’t find a more beautiful and maintained course anywhere!

This week we are installing 30 new Sabal Palms and we have ordered tens of thousands of dollars of ornamental plants which will adorn our course for years to come. The floating islands for the driving range are still being built in New Hampshire and should be delivered in mid-late January, and the interior design and bar construction for the temporary clubhouse is well under way. We will have a soft opening for play in January and will announce our grand opening shortly after that. Memberships are coming in nicely and we can’t wait to welcome you all. Just a reminder, once we sell 200, that’s all, so if you are considering it, don’t delay to avoid disappointment.

On a separate note we went to the Mattamy Homes VIP event last week which was standing room only! We were thrilled at how beautiful these townhomes and villas are. The units are light, airy, high ceilings and have a coastal, modern, and fresh feel to them. If you get a chance, head up to Harmony at Lakewood Ranch and take a glimpse at units that are similar (not exact) to what is being built currently at The Enclave. I don’t think these units will last for long (they have sold over 100 units since February for their Lakewood Ranch project) and The Enclave will only be 165 homes, so if you are considering it, don’t wait!

I would remind everyone that the Palms at Forest Lakes will be a “cashless” facility giving the club a “private” feel. Our guests can prepay greens fees on our website and incidentals will be paid for using your Palms cash card. Well, it’s been a long process and we are just about there. Please don’t forget to give your board members and your golf committee members a big hug, for without them this would never have been possible. Everyone’s property values have increased due to their hard work and the new chapter of Forest Lakes is just around the corner! On behalf of Jay, Nate, Karen and myself we thank everyone for your support and look forward to welcoming you at the beautiful Palms at Forest Lakes in January!
